Situation professionnelle

Valérie Cohen-Scali est Professeure en Psychologie de l’orientation et de l’insertion au Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM). Elle développe ses recherches dans l’équipe de Psychologie de l’Orientation, au Centre de Recherche sur le Travail et de Développement du CNAM (EA4132). Elle est également chercheure associée au Centre de Recherche sur la Formation au Cnam. Ses recherches portent sur la construction de soi des jeunes adultes en formation et en situation de travail. Elle s’intéresse à plusieurs types de situations rencontrées par les jeunes : formations en alternance, stages, petits boulots. Ses travaux portent également sur les processus psychosociologiques de construction de soi des adultes en situation de réorientation professionnelle à mi-carrière et notamment sur les carrières protéennes (Hall, 1996). Enfin, ses travaux de recherche portent également sur les représentations sociales et les activités des professionnels de l’orientation et l’évolution de leurs compétences et de leurs identités professionnelles.

Dans le cadre de ses activités de recherche, Valérie Cohen-Scali est impliquée dans plusieurs réseaux internationaux :

Présidente de la Chaire Unesco "Orientation tout au long de la vie" de l'Université de Wroclaw, Pologne, depuis octobre 2022, et aussi membre fondatrice et membre du Comité de direction depuis à sa création en avril 2013.
Membre du Comité de Direction du Projet Erasmus ECADOC (European Doctoral Programme in Career Guidance and Counseling) (2013-2016) qui vise à former des doctorants de différents pays d’Europe dans le domaine de l’orientation et du conseil de carrière.
Membre du réseau Erasmus NICE (Network in Innovation and Counseling in Europe) en conseil de carrière (2009-2016) dont l’objectif est d’identifier les compétences clef des professionnels de l’orientation en Europe.
Membre de l’ASia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Life Long Learning Hub (réseau de recherche 2 concernant l’apprentissage en situation de travail) depuis janvier 2010 qui visent à comparer selon certaines modalités les organisations et les collectifs concernant leurs manières d’apprendre en situation de travail.
Professeure invitée à l’université de Duisburg-Essen pour 3 mois en 2010 et à l’institut de pédagogie de Wroclaw (2013).
Représentante de la division 16 (counseling psychology) à l’Association Internationale de Psychologie Appliquée.

Sur le plan des activités de publication, elle est Directrice de la revue l’Orientation Scolaire et Professionnelle (OSP) depuis 2021, après en avoir été directrice-adjointe depuis 2010 et elle réalise des expertises pour diverses revues internationales.
